A privilege to announce. Glenglassaugh have released one of the rarest and oldest expressions to ever come from its Highland distillery. A 50 year old single malt, only 264 bottles have been released. The 40.1% abv bottling has been finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Andalucía, Spain. Incredibly, the Glenglassaugh Distillery has been shut down and reopened, all during this expression’s 50 year long maturation. Matured in coastal warehouses, this is a transcendent harmony of flavours. Deep layers of figs and blackberry arrive on the nose. Almond, refined oak, caramelised pear, and soft exotic cherries offer a seductive sweetness on the palate. The Glenglassaugh Distillery Company was formed in 1875, but was a tricky whisky for blenders to work with. Highland Distillers shut the distillery in 1986. Many believed it would never reopen. It was taken over in 2008, and is now back in business. Back to top

Returns

If your item is damaged in transit or you receive an item that is clearly different to that ordered, we will arrange for a return via courier and issue a full refund.

To be eligible for a full refund you must contact us to inform us of any issue within 24 hours of receipt. Refunds will be credited back to your original payment method once we have received the returned items.

Please note that any personalised, bespoke or made-to-order items, or items with a broken seal, are non-refundable unless faulty.

Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your order, you must do so within 14 days from the day you received delivery. Items that are bespoke or personalised cannot be cancelled, and will only be returnable if faulty.

In the event of cancellation, the cost of returning your items will be your responsibility and not that of The Whisky Shop. Items must be returned within 14 days from the date of cancellation. Refunds will be processed on receipt of the items.
