Distilled in 2008 at Craigellachie distillery, this single cask Speyside single malt has spent 11 years in a wine cask before being bottled by independent family-run firm Hunter Laing & Co. of Glasgow. Presented at a preferred strength of 50% abv without chill filtration or artificial colouring, just 161 bottles have been filled.
The nose is spicy and fruity with tobacco and brown sugar. The palate brings a mouthfilling sweetness, with caramel sauce and Christmas pudding, before a long and sweet finish with lingering toffee apple notes.
