This rye whiskey from Vermont farm distillery WhistlePig is the second release in the Farmstock Rye series which moves towards the distillery vision of 'Triple Terroir' - aiming to craft whiskey distilled using the farm's own grain, water and custom Vermont white oak casks. This edition is crafted with 32% 2-year-old Triple Terroir whiskey alongside 6-year-old whiskey from Indiana and 10-year-old Canadaian whiskey.
The nose is fruity and sweet with orange zest, white chocolate, vanilla and pear atop a rye spice. The palate brings a great burst of spice with some delicate fruit notes underlying, before a white pepper and oak spice finish.
