About That Boutique-y Whisky Company

The company prides itself on finding especially unique whisky, and bottling the limited edition liquid. It could be a once in a lifetime expression from one of the world’s greatest distilleries, a whisky that doesn’t quite fit a distillery’s whisky ‘style’, or an unknown distillery making incredible whisky that they want to gain more notoriety – whatever it is, it’s sure to be like nothing else.

The reason behind their wacky, cartoon labels is to tell the story of a distillery. Every label is hand drawn and tells its own tale.

As well as from Scotland, they have bottled whiskies from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, India, South Africa, England, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, wales, Taiwan, Israel and America.

History

In 2022, That Boutique-y Whisky Company celebrated their tenth birthday. Founded by Ben Ellefsen in 2012, the company was created for a particular type of whisky nerd. They did away with the technical stuff, like chemical processes, historical dates, and focused on the story and the fun in their graphic novel-type labels by illustrator Emily Chappell. Daring, unique and limited-edition, they had found their niche within the whisky industry.
