From revered independent bottlers Hunter Laing, this striking single malt was distilled during the golden era of peated Brora whisky, in the early 1980s. Matured in a single refill cask for 40 years, and bottled at 47.4% abv, the special expression comes presented in a gorgeous oak display case. Only 50 bottles were decanted from the cask.
The nose opens with aromatic sweet stewed apple, honey, apricot and the faintest hint of smoke, before a waxy palate of soft fruits, peaches and a touch of orange. Mineral notes and gentle touches of green tea follow, leading to a long citrusy finish with a final wisp of smoke.
Older bottlings of Brora from this time are becoming harder and harder to come by, so this is your perfect opportunity to secure this glorious liquid before it's all snapped up!
