Celebrating Cinco De Mayo
An annual celebration held on the fifth of May in Mexico, Cinco De Mayo commemorates the anniversary of Mexico's historic victory at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Every year, the country, and Mexicans all over the globe live it large with colourful parades, food, music and, more importantly, lots of drinks. Both tequila and mezcal are produced in Mexico, and can served neat, shot with lime and salt, or used in a variety of cocktails - from the Margarita to the Paloma.
1800 Cristalino Anejo Tequila
A stunning crystal-clear tequila, this expression has been aged in both American and French oak barrels before being married together and finished for 6 months in Port Wine Casks. The final liquid is filtered for extra smoothness, without losing any flavour or complexity. Designed to be sipped, it boasts delicate flavours of honey, agave and oak.
The Lost Explorer Tobala 10 Year Old
From award-winning The Lost Explorer Mezcal, this spirit is made using Tobala agave from San Pablo Huixtepec, Oaxaca. It is often nicknamed ”Explorer Agave,” as an elusive wild agave that grows in arid, shaded, high-altitude canyons, making it extremely hard to find. The resulting liquid is remarkably earthy with hints of tobacco, cocoa, vanilla and leather, offering a unique balance between wood aromas and umami flavours. Bound to impress any mezcal fan, use it in a smoky take on a Margarita.
Cazcabel Coffee Tequila Liqueur
This premium tequila liqueur has a delectable coffee taste, without any overpowering sweetness. Made using its signature ultra-smooth Blanco Tequila as a base, which is distilled using a combination of copper pot and steel stills and then chill-filtered to get rid of any impurities, the spirit is then infused with a sweet hit of luxury arabica coffee from the coastal region of Soconusco. One that will set the taste-buds of any coffee fan alight.
Maestro Dobel Silver Tequila
This top-shelf tequila is made from 100% high quality blue Weber agave from the Jalico region of Mexico, and double distilled for extra purity. Sweet and nutty, with a hint of black pepper and vanilla, the spirit goes fabulously in a cocktail and yet holds enough quality to be sipped over ice.
The Lost Explorer Salmiana 12 Year Old
Another wonderfully spicy mezcal from Lost Explorer, this one is made using Salmiana agave from San Pablo Huixtepec, Oaxaca - also known as the “Green Giant,” the agave can grow up to 12 ft. in diameter and reach as high as 6 ft into the sky. The liquid is aged for 12 years, resulting in Lost Explorers most herbaceous expression of all, offering up sweet and spicy flavours with hints of green chili, grapefruit and fresh agave.
Don Julio Reposado
Aged for eight months (four times the industry standard) in American white-oak barrels, Don Julio Reposado Tequila is golden amber in colour, and offers a rich, smooth finish - the very essence of the perfect barrel-aged tequila. Best savoured as part of a refreshing cocktail or chilled on the rocks, the liquid holds an elegant palate of chocolate, vanilla and subtle cinnamon.
Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia Tequila
Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia is the world's first extra-anejo tequila, created exclusively from hand-cultivated blue agaves, harvested when at full maturity, after seven to twelve years of growth. Aged in French and American oak barrels for at least three years, the sublime liquid evokes notes of rich oak, toasted almonds, vanilla and cinnamon, commemorating the Cuervo family's 200-year tequila legacy.
