The Luminary Series is a unique, three-part collection of limited-edition whiskies, conceived
and co-created by world-renowned talents from the parallel worlds of artisan whisky &
architectural design. For the second edition, the bottling is a collaboration between whisky-makers Gregg Glass and Richard Paterson OBE, and renowned designer Melodie Leung of Zaha Hadid Architects. Together they have created two very special one-of-a-kind Rare and Collectible single malts, presented as a piece of art, and curated in partnership with the V&A Dundee.

The 2024 Collectible offering is a 16-year-old expression which has been initially aged in American white oak bourbon casks, before being treated to a luxurious finish in Graham's Tawny Port Pipes and Apostales Sherry Casks. With the lightest touch of exceptionally rare peated Dalmore spirit. Just 20,000 bottles have been produced.

Melodie was struck by the sculptural shapes and glowing copper of The Dalmore's stills, and the maturation process which sees flavours interact and combine to create something new. Drawing on the distinctive fluid and curving style of Zaha Hadid Architects, she interpreted this alchemy into a exceptional sculptural form for the bottle and presentation case – a perfect complement to the flavours within the whisky.

Master Distiller of the Year at Icons of Whisky Scotland Awards 2023, Gregg Glass is renowned for combining tradition with visionary ideas. Inspired by Melodie’s childhood memories of chestnuts, Gregg used a small proportion of exceptionally rare peated Dalmore to add a whisper of sweet herbal woodsmoke to the expression.
