Take a look at the handful of special spirits that we have at The Whisky Shop:

The English Whisky Distillery Coronation of King Charles

One of only 5000 bottles released, this one-off expression has been released as part of The English Distillery’s Royal range. The single malt has been matured in a combination of bourbon and PX sherry casks, and presented in a specially engraved decanter that can be treasured for years to come as a special keepsake of this historic occasion. It boasts aromas of toffee, cherries and baked apples, with a palate full of nutty chocolate and figs. Pre-order now.

Silent Pool Coronation Gin

Distilled by the world-renowned Silent Pool Distillers, this limited-edition craft gin has been made using the King's favourite botanicals, plants and flowers. King Charles is famously green-fingered himself, as a keen gardener. Housed in a gorgeous gold-detailed bottle fit for royalty, it will certainly be the most patriotic gin and tonic you will ever make! Expect notes of English berries and juniper on the nose, with a palate full of aromatic Earl Grey tea and sweet plum.

Pussers Coronation Reserve

To salute the new King, and holder of the highest rank in the Royal Navy (Admiral of the Fleet), Pusser's Rum Limited has crafted a special limited-edition Naval rum using select stills from Guyana and Trinidad. The rum is a blend of aged spirits with a strength of 54.5% (Navy Proof), made to resemble the spirit that was served on ships on July 31st, 1970. This date marks the final daily rum issue to Ships' Companies by the Admiralty, thereby bringing an end to the longest custom in seafaring history. The punchy liquid showcases perfectly balanced flavours of dried fruit, caramel, spices, oak and creamy vanilla.

Platinum Old & Rare Laphroaig 32 Year Old Coronation Release

One of only 456 bottles, this limited edition Laphroaig has been matured for 32 years in sherry casks and released by revered independent bottlers, Hunter Laing, to commemorate His Majesty's coronation. A fitting choice; the heavily peated Islay whisky is the favourite expression of King Charles III. He even granted the distillery with a prestigious Royal Warrant in 1994, signifying it's occupancy in the Royal household. Although he famously likes the 15-year-old best, we're sure he wouldn't turn his nose up at this exceptionally rare sherried Laphroaig - aged for over double the time.

Duncan Taylor The Coronation Edition

Our other favourite independent bottlers have also chosen the King's favourite of Laphroaig as their coronation release. This Coronation Edition is a stunning trilogy of Laphroaig expressions, all dutifully matured by Duncan Taylor and lovingly finished in sherry casks. The three magnificent 70cl bottlings have been aged for 18, 23 and 26 years respectively. Limited to just 150 sequentially numbered releases, each luxury set is presented in a clear case, illuminated by remote and gold mirror accents - adding a distinguished allure to the spirits within. A certificate of authenticity and a pair of handling gloves ensures a lasting brilliance. Pre-order now.

Aged 18 Years: Restrained smoke gives way to gentle notes of baked green fruits. A subtle sherried texture lingers on the palate.
Aged 23 Years: Eloquent notes of chocolate dipped fruits mingle with hints of smoked salty almonds. Ripe cherries round off an earthy dram.
Aged 26 Years: Intriguing nuance of ginger is accented by charred sherry oak and spice. A dash of maritime air compliments a subtle smokiness, softened by long ageing.

Hip Hip Hooray for King Charles III!
