The second release from The Macallan's limited annual series, The Harmony, this is Intense Arabica. The whisky will be able to purchase via ballot for members of The W Club. The ballot will open at 12pm on 7th February, and remain open for 48 hours. Only 140 units are available to purchase.

The Harmony is a collection which draws its inspiration from the natural world. The Macallan's Whisky Maker Steven Bremner hosted a masterclass with world renowned coffee masters to inform his creation, and settled on the Ethiopian Arabica bean. Ethiopia being the birthplace of coffee, its only fitting that this bean is used for The Macallan's first coffee-inspired whisky. The precious liquid is encased in a sustainable recycled box, made using coffee bean husks that would have otherwise been discarded. At 44% abv, the dram was aged in sherry seasoned casks to compliment the rich taste of coffee.

Expect aromas of decadent tiramisu, gingerbread, almonds, sweet oak and creamy vanilla. The palate leads to notes of rich espresso, dark cocoa and raisins with hints of blackberry, brazil nuts and vanilla. The finish is that of a dark roast coffee, long, balanced and sweet.
