This Highland Park Cask Strength release is the Orkney Distillery's staple single malt in its purest form. The much-anticipated third release in the Cask Strength series is composed primarily of first fill sherry seasoned European and American oak casks, along with a few refill casks. The result is a bold and vibrant dram, bursting with rich, sweet flavours. It is free from chill filtration and bottled at a staggering 64.1% abv. Aromas of liquorice, toasted oak, and peat smoke arrive on the nose. The palate is full of parma violets, honey, and juicy mango before leading into a lingering and satisfying finish with notes of smouldering heather appearing at the close.
