Darkness Port Charlotte 14 Year Old PX Cask

An elegant 14-year-old expression hailing from Port Charlotte. This single malt has enjoyed a three-month long finishing period in Pedro Ximenez octave casks before being bottled at 50.8% abv. The nose is particularly earthy with notes of moss and tobacco. Sea salt, black olives, almonds, and dried plums appear on the palate before leading into the long coastal finish.

Darkness Mortlach 20 Year Old Oloroso Cask

This 20-year-old Mortlach has enjoyed a three-month long finishing period in Oloroso octave casks. This small cask gives the whisky a generous helping of sherried, fruity notes. The nose is meaty complemented by sweeter notes of red berries and dark chocolate. The palate brings spiced oranges, cloves, and toasted oak. The finish is drying and full of espresso.

Darkness Glenrothes 12 Year Old Oloroso Cask

A bold twelve-year-old expression from Glenrothes. The single malt was matured for three months in octave casks before being bottled at 60.6% abv. On the nose, there are red berries, butterscotch, and thick caramel. The palate is one that is typical of a sherried dram - sweet, spicy, and full of dried fruit notes. This continues into the finish alongside a gentle wisp of smoke.

Darkness Glen Garioch 18 Year Old Oloroso Cask

A powerful 18-year-old Glen Garioch. This rich expression underwent a three-month finish in Oloroso casks before being bottled at 49.4% abv. A sweet and sumptuous dram. The nose is rich with dried fruit and malt. The palate is spicy and woody, complemented by ripe plums and black cherry. This fruitiness and woodiness continues into the finish alongside sweeter notes of chocolate.

Darkness Caol Ila 17 Year Old Oloroso Cask

A stunning 17-year-old Caol Ila. This expression has enjoyed a three-month long finishing period in Oloroso casks before being bottled at 46.6% abv. The nose has anise, black tea, and dark chocolate. The palate is dramatic and herbal with smoky notes of coal tar and meat. The lingering finish is both smoky and spicy.

Darkness Cambus 29 Year Old Oloroso Cask

A well-aged triumph. This 29-year-old Cambus expression has enjoyed a three-month long finishing period in Oloroso casks before being bottled at 45.7% abv. A sweet and spicy single malt. The nose has cracked black pepper, milk chocolate, and dried fruits. More dried fruits appear on the smooth palate alongside complementary notes of ginger. The finish is long with hints of chocolate, corn, and herbs appearing at the close.

Darkness Craigellachie 10 Year Old Oloroso Cask

This exceptional ten-year-old Craigellachie spent a three-month long finishing period in Oloroso casks to create its wonderfully complex flavour profile. Bottled at a fierce 63.3% abv, this is truly a dram to behold. The nose has dark brown sugar, sea salt, and hints of leather. The palate is bold with lots of ripe fruits complemented by spicy, meaty notes before leading into a long and sweet finish with a gentle hint of wood smoke.

A mighty 18-year-old single malt from Blair Athol. This expression has enjoyed a three-month long finishing period in Oloroso casks before bottling at 49.4% abv. The nose is malty complemented by hints of espresso and hawthorn. The maltiness continues on the palate alongside baked figs and plums. The finish is long and fruity with a gentle hint of wood smoke.

Darkness Balmenach 16 Year Old Oloroso Cask

An impressive 16-year-old Balmenach. This expression has undergone a three-month long finishing period in Oloroso casks before being bottled at a powerful 61.1% abv. The nose has fresh oak, molasses, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The palate is nutty, complemented by sweeter flavours of salted caramel and milk chocolate before leading into the surprisingly dry and spicy finish.
