Clynelish 27 Year Old Authors’ Series

This 27-year-old year Clynelish has been matured in a bourbon barrel and was bottled at 53.8% abv in March 2021. The nose is gentle with rhubarb and shortbread. The palate is sweet and creamy with apple pie and custard before leading into the lingering, pleasant, and fruity finish. This whisky is partnered with the iconic author and minister Edward Everett Hale. A real patriot, Edward is best known for his short story “The Man Without a Country.”

Blair Athol 31 Year Old Authors’ Series

This 31-year-old Blair Athol has been matured in a sherry hogshead and bottled at 45.6% abv in March 2021. The nose is sweet with vanilla complemented by a hint of smoked meat. The palate is complex with leather and an array of spices before leading into the long, warmy, and smoky finish. This whisky is partnered with the celebrated author and playwright Arthur Schnitzler. Best known for breaching controversial topics that other authors were scared to approach, this is a unique and simply unforgettable expression – just like Schnitzler’s works!

Springbank 30 Year Old Authors’ Series

Distilled in September 1990 at Campbeltown's Springbank distillery, this single malt was matured in a refill hogshead for 30 years before bottling in December 2020. This 51st release in the series is limited to just 103 bottles, each one presented at 44.1% abv. The nose is wonderfully sweet with honey drizzled peaches and rich vanilla fudge. The palate is well-rounded with star anise and fresh fruit before leading into the long and fruity finish. This expression was inspired by the life and works of Bayard Taylor, the legendary travel author. Let this expression transport you right to the heart of Campbeltown –  “the whiskiest place in the world!”

Cragganmore 25 Year Old Authors’ Series

This 25-year-old Cragganmore was laid to rest in a sherry butt in 1995 and bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.2% abv in March 2021. The nose is rich and inviting with treacle and caramel. The palate is well-rounded with dried fruits and subtle spicy notes before leading into the pleasant long and fruity finish. This whisky is partnered with Irish writer and politician Tom Kettle. This punchy, powerful dram represents Kettle’s unconquerable spirit and passion. The perfect drams to enjoy with a book in hand!
