New Release: GlenWyvis Single Malt 2018 Batch 02/18

Founded in 2015, GlenWyvis was crowdfunded by over 3,600 supporters. Some of the money raised was put into the local community in Dingwall. Due to this being how the new distillery came to be, GlenWyvis prides itself on its powerful sense of community spirit. This expression is only the second ever release from GlenWyvis. The single malt was produced using locally sourced Concerto barley that was fermented for 96 hours before being distilled. The dram was then matured for three years in a combination of first fill Tennessee whiskey barrels, first fill Oloroso hogsheads, and refill whisky hogsheads before being bottled 46.5% abv. The nose is particularly rich and sweet with white grapes. The palate brings zesty lemon, vanilla, and ripe pears before a long finish full of sumptuous dark chocolate and fresh berries.
