Writers’ Tears Copper Pot
With notes of ginger and caramel, this critically acclaimed, award-winning Irish whiskey consists of one cask, two grains, and three distillations. Created using a combination of both malted and un-malted barley, this expression spent its lifetime maturing in American oak ex-bourbon casks. The dram combines aged single pot still and aged single malt Irish whiskey, drawing inspiration from the production methods of the whiskey that so many of the great Irish writers enjoyed. The likes of Samuel Beckett, James Joyce, and Oscar Wilde all drank Irish whiskey made this way!

Waterford Ballybannon 1.1
Famed for their terrior approach to whisky, Waterford present this peated expression made from barley grown in Ballybannon in Co. Carlow. Based in the south of Ireland, Waterford Whisky pride themselves on using 100% Irish-grown barley from individual farms - allowing the distinct flavour profile of one place and time to shine. This expression is the first collaboration between Irish barley and Irish peat in generations, showcasing the natural flavour of each. This delicious single malt from Tullamore DEW is a sumptuously sweet and spicy expression, perfect for raising a toast to St. Patrick. Triple distilled and matured in ex-bourbon casks, this dram was then finished in four different casks - bourbon, Madeira, Oloroso sherry, and port. A truly unique and inventive Irish whiskey, the expression boasts flavours of cinnamon, apple, ginger, and malt.
Bushmills 1991 Madeira Cask
An exclusive to The Whisky Shop, this stunning Bushmills expression spent 13 years maturing in a combination of Oloroso sherry butts and bourbon barrels before being transferred to first fill Madeira wine casks to mature for a further 15 years, before being bottled at a cask strength of 50.2% abv. This is an ultra-rare whiskey, with just 738 bottles produced, and is full of rich flavours of espresso, dark chocolate and mixed nuts. An extra special addition to your celebrations!
Proper No. Twelve
Released in 2018, this dram is the brainchild of former UFC lightweight, Conor McGregor, in collaboration with David Elder, the manager of Bushmills Distillery - Ireland's oldest distillery. Proper No. Twelve is named in homage to McGregor's hometown, Crumlin, located in the Dublin 12 area. Triple distilled and matured in ex-bourbon barrels, the expression has a palate full of honey and crisp green apple before leading into the satisfying finish that is slightly spicy with notes of toasted oak.
Slane Irish Whiskey
Created by the Earl of Mountcharles, this blended Irish whiskey is produced at the iconic Slane Castle just outside of Dublin. Slane unusually uses a triple cask blend to add complexity, with a Virgin American oak cask, a seasoned freshly drained American whiskey cask and an Oloroso sherry cask. It must be working, as the expression was awarded Gold at the International Spirits Challenge 2022! The expression boasts tropical flavours of melon and banana, along with oaky spices. Certainly unique!
The Irishman 12 Year Old Single Malt
The Irishman 12 Year Old Single Malt is triple-distilled and matured solely in first-fill bourbon casks, harking back to age-old Irish recipes. Limited to 6,000 bottles each year, this treat of an Irish whiskey is bottled in a stunning bottle - with an accessible braille version of it's name on the front. It brings forth fabulous flavours of vanilla, barley, honey and a hint of charred wood. Perfectly sweet and balanced!
Jameson 18 Year Old 2022
Savour a deluxe version of Ireland's best selling whiskey, with this 18-year-old Jamesons expression. Continuing John Jameson's legacy of triple distillation while staying true to the pot still character he established in 1780, Jameson is remarkably smooth and perfectly balanced. This expression spent almost two decades slumbering in the finest oak barrels, resulting in refined flavours of toffee, aged wood and spiced oak.
