The Prize:

Along with a guest, you will enjoy a bespoke five-course tasting menu at the prestigious contemporary Scottish restaurant, The Gannet, in Glasgow. The one-off menu has been especially crafted to complement three Fettercairn whiskies that will accompany the meal, in addition to your wine pairing. Includes an overnight hotel stay in the hip city of Glasgow, as well as expensed UK travel to get you there and back.

Fettercairn and The Gannet share a passion for local sourcing and partnering with their local communities. At Fettercairn, the next 100 years are more important than the last. This commitment to the future was sealed with the founding of the 200 Club, which ensures that for generations to come, every golden ear of barley used in the making of Fettercairn will be harvested from fields within a 50-mile radius of the distillery, grown by local farmers. At The Gannet, a seasonally changing multi-course menu is inspired by a network of small artisan producers, foragers and farmers to create a distinctly modern Scottish fine dining experience.

The Whisky:

Fettercairn translates to ‘foot of the mountain’ as the distillery is surrounded by beautiful forests and glens at the base of the Cairngorms in the Scottish Highlands. The distillery produces refined, natural single malt whisky, priding itself on their modern and slightly experimental approach to whisky making. They use pure mountain water, unique stills with cooling rings allowing for more distillation, and approach traditional methods differently when it comes to casking. They are known for tropical fruit flavours first and foremost, with touches of barley, vanilla and orchard fruits across their wide range.
