The Glenrothes 15 Year Old
The 15-year-old single malt from Speyside distillery, Glenrothes, is part of their newly designed 2024 offerings, with a circular casing with a lovely turquoise colour. Bottled at 43% abv, this is a complex malt with a many-layered flavour profile bringing notes of sweetness, spice, fruit and nuts in a crescendo that is both mellow and warming.
Highland Park 15 Year Old 2024 Release
Naturally coloured, this whisky is like liquid gold. Citrusy and warm, the Highland Park 15-year-old is a fine-tuned sympthony of flavours that's full of contrasting notes. Matured in a heady combination of first fill, sherry-seasoned American oak and European Oak casks, as well as refill casks, this release is bottled at 44% abv, lending it a punchy complexity.
Macallan 15 Year Old Double Cask
Distilled at The Macallan in Speyside, this single malt Scotch is matured in a combination of American and European oak casks. The Macallan brings American oak to Spain, where their bespoke casks are hand-crafted and filled with dry Oloroso sherry. Once seasoned, these casks are shipped to Scotland to be filled with new make spirit from The Macallan stills. After 15 years, the Whisky Mastery Team set about combining spirit from both types of cask to create a balanced, warm, and sweet single malt. A favourite of James Bond!
Macallan 12 Year Old Sherry Oak
Another deliciously smooth Macallan single malt - this rich and well rounded whisky is easy to drink and will not disappoint. Described as refined, rich, and rounded with plenty of sherry cask influence and perfectly balanced with woodsmoke and spice. It has often been dubbed 'simply the best 12 Year Old single malt around'.
Crisp sweet and floral on the nose, with beautiful Sherry notes - calvados emerges with a tropical fruit note and golden syrup. The taste brings medium-body with plenty of fruits and marmalade, leading to a long finish with a whisper of oak.
Bushmills 16 Year Old
A firm customer favourite at The Whisky Shop, Bushmills 16 Year Old is made at the world's oldest licensed distillery in Northern Ireland. Aged in Oloroso sherry casks and bourbon seasoned casks for just over 15 years, with a finish in port pipes for nine months, the decadent Irish whiskey boasts flavours of cherries, dried fruits and sweet toffee.
